About Wilder & Mahood

Wilder & Mahood is a law firm that provides personal individualized services to a limited number of clients in divorce cases and related matters. Since 1978, the lawyers of Wilder & Mahood have represented a broad range of business and professional people and their spouses in complex divorce litigation in Pittsburgh and throughout Western Pennsylvania, including Beaver, Butler, Lawrence, Mercer, Erie, Clarion, Clearfield, Cameron, Washington and Westmoreland counties. W&M limits its practice to matrimonial law, including divorce, support, paternity, property matters and custody at trial and appellate levels.

Members of the firm teach family law and professional ethics to other lawyers in continuing legal education programs on both the local and national level. The first Pittsburgh lawyer to be certified as a matrimonial arbitrator by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers as well as the first Pittsburgh lawyer to be elected a Fellow of the International Academy of Matrimonial lawyers are members of W&M.

Members of the firm lecture and write extensively on family law and professional ethics issues for professional publications and periodicals. The treatise, Pennsylvania Family Law Practice and Procedure, now in its sixth edition, is authored by a member of the firm. The firm’s lawyers have held leadership positions in the American Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Allegheny County Bar Association and many community organizations.

W&M lawyers have been elected Fellows of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, where they hold leadership positions at both state and national levels, the American Bar Foundation, the Pennsylvania Bar Foundation, and the American College of Family Trial Lawyers. W&M has been represented in every edition of The Best Lawyers in America.
