Joanne Ross Wilder, a 1969 graduate of the University of Maryland School of Law, is President of Wilder & Mahood. Ms. Wilder is the author of Pennsylvania Family Law Practice and Procedure, now in its sixth edition, and contributes articles on domestic relations and legal ethics issues to professional periodicals.
Ms. Wilder is a frequent lecturer at continuing legal education programs and has taught family law as an adjunct professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. She currently serves on the faculty of the Family Law Trial Advocacy Institute at the University of Houston and is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Ms. Wilder is a past president of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the Academy and a Diplomate of the American College of Family Trial Lawyers. She recently completed a six year term as a member of the Supreme Court Domestic Relations Procedural Rules Committee. She is a Director of Fidelity Bank.
Ms. Wilder is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association House of Delegates and is a past chair of the Family Law Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. She currently serves as co-chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Ethics Committee and is a past chair of the ACBA Professional Ethics Committee. Ms. Wilder has been listed in every edition of The Best Lawyers in America.
